Austin's Page
Aside from the one in Star Wars, many forces have influenced me into becoming the person I am today. My parents, grandparents, and distant family members have all taught me important life lessons about responsibility and respect that will stay with me for the rest of my life. On the flip side, I have to thank my friends for my sense of humor and for always supporting me grow in various activities. Band and cross country are two other forces that have greatly influenced my life. Both have taught me the importance of determination, setting goals, and how anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Force number seven is dedicated to the Performing Arts Department here at Central York High School. Theater has a way of exposing those involved to all kinds of differnt people, making them more excepting individuals. My church, Zion Lutheran, has been influencing me since I was young; helping me grow in my faith and become a more caring individual. Recently I started teaching third and fourth grade Sunday School at Zion, allowing me to expand and share my strengths with the youth of our congregation. Leadership is another huge force that has influenced my life. Leadership is an important part of any activity or business that will help me in the future, and I'm glad I've had the opportunities to improve my own leadership skills through experiences at school and in the community. Serving as Vice President of both National Honor Society and International Thespian Society, Head Drill Captain of the Central York Marching Band, and Sunday School Teacher at Zion have really helped me grow as a leader. The final forces that have shaped who I am today are the mistakes I've made along the way. Life is about trial and error, and without the knowledge I've gained from the countless mistakes I've made I won't be the same person today.

Austin,

I thought that your intro was very funny yet your entire paragraph was very informative as to the forces that have changed your life. I think that fact that you chose to move past your mistakes and take them as learning lessons and let them be force that changes you is very outstanding. You seem to know where you are going and how you need to get there. I think it is very awesome that the programs you are involved with do a lot to influence your character, due to the fact that they are helping you become a stronger more independent person.

Austin,
It is good to hear that you like to help out those younger than you at church. Being able to spread wisdom throughout is really a great thing to do. Also, with all the experience you have it is no doubt that you would be a good leader. It's good to hear that there are still people out there trying to expand themselves beyond the call of duty. It was awesome to hear that you have so many accomplishments. Keep up the great work!

Austin,
I just realized you are in everything which is really cool. I like how you use so many activities to shape you as a person. It's awesome that church helped to shape you into who you are. You are really funny Austin and I hope you can continue to be successful. You seem to have a really solid group of things that have shaped you into an awesome guy.

Uncle Aussie,
We have been doing Z's musicals now for almost 3 years, so I know how much it can change your view on things, and help shape you as a person. The expectations are so great, but the work ethic is even greater which just shows how putting 100% into something will pay off for you in the end. The fact that you mentioned your grandparents is very sweet, and personally I love your grandma, because she is honestly the most darling little old lady. The only thing I would have added is Bussie, because he should be dead by now....but he keeps on living which is a great example of perseverance.

Austin!
I really like the way you wrote and organized your paragraphs about your influences. I believe it is very good to be involved in and out of lot in school, as you show to be. I am a little disappointed you failed to mention your workplace. I believe that your job has greatly influenced you and I know how much you enjoy it. Though in the end, it was your decision to what has influenced you, and obviously you have chosen other great things that have made you the great young man you've become.

Austin, I loved the way you described your mistakes as forces. You were one of the first I saw to do so, and I think you articulated it really well. I also love how you learned from your leadership and had a variety of different positions that each contributed to the force. You seem to have been very blessed in the forces that shaped you and it shows in your disposition!
